Team Leader Edwin

We met Edwin back in 2017. It was hard to believe what extreme conditions he was raised from if we hadn’t seen it first hand. It was hard to believe because what we were witnessing was a miracle.

Edwin grew up in a trash bag and cardboard home. His dream as a boy was to own a backpack instead of the plastic bag he used most of his childhood.

As an adult, Edwin dreamed of learning English and becoming an interpreter at the missionary organization where we met him in 2017. With that said, he accomplished that goal and dream.

Edwin has an incredible story to share that we will put up some day. For now, know that Edwin is the kind of person that if you give him $1 he will check if anyone else needs it more before using it on himself. We have countless stories like that.

We are humbled and honored to introduce him as our team leader. God is using him all the time to be His hands and feet. Edwin serves his community with his whole heart and is always seeking what’s next from the Lord.

Right now, Edwin is the only person we have on salary. Edwin not only works as a Pastor but a carpenter, entrepreneur, visionary, father, and husband.

We pay Edwin $336/month from donations designated to him. When we spoke with Edwin about pay, back in July 2020, we asked him what the daily rate was for a “really, really good job.” He said $12/day is a dream, and consistent pay is unknown. Since July 2020 we have committed to the following:

$12/day @ 7 days/week = $84/week
$84/week @ 4 weeks/month = $336/month
